<p>
The symposium is to be held in Stony Brook, Long Island, NY.  The
University is located on the North Shore, near the picturesque villages
of <a href="http://www.stonybrookvillage.com/">Stony Brook</a> and
<a href="http://www.portjeff.com/">Port Jefferson</a>.
The famous beaches of <a href="http://www.fireislandcc.org/">Fire
Island</a> on Long Island's South Shore are just a few miles away, while
the cosmopolitan life of <a href="http://newyork.citysearch.com/">New
York City</a> bustles about 60 miles (100 km.) to the West (regular
train service between Stony Brook and Manhattan is available via the
<a href="http://www.mta.nyc.ny.us/lirr/">Long Island Rail Road</a>).

<p>
Local arrangements for the symposium are being handled by
Klaus Mueller, together with the <a href="http://www.cs.sunysb.edu/~vislab/">Center
of Visual Computing</a>, <a href="http://www.cs.sunysb.edu/">Department of
Computer Science</a>, <a href="http://www.sunysb.edu/">Stony Brook University</a>.
The symposium will take place in the
<a href="http://www.sunysb.edu/sb/wang/">Wang Conference Center</a>,
situated on the Stony Brook campus.
